Software Development Manager, Woking, Surrey Central Virginia Business Solutions Objective Coordinate the delivery of Software Product Development at the company by managing a programme of sprint teams responsible for key products. Develop and implement strategy to maintain agile delivery of features and maintain output across all development teams resulting in continued rapid growth across all products. Responsibilities
Software Development Lifecycle: Manage all aspects of the SDLC to deliver strategic objectives and maintain exceptional standard of software for B2B, B2C & internal users. Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team of Software Engineers, Quality & Product professionals to ensure high performance across the team. Collaboration: work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to align goals and deliver the product vision. People Growth: support team to enable personal and technical progression. Continuous Improvement: spearhead improvement in process & practices to elevate product development flow. Resource Allocation: provide support where needed for the projects that move the organisation forwards. Client Focus: Craft and implement development practices that meet client and business needs. Planning and Organising: Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently. Innovation: Generate innovative solutions in work situations; try different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
Knowledge And Experience
Exceptional people skills and experience of managing medium-large in-house development teams. Strong technical understanding of modern coding practices and structures including C#, .Net Core, EF, SQL, microservices architecture and event-driven architecture. A will to deliver across multiple parallel projects across different projects. Demonstrable experience of working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban). Proven track record of program & project management. A defined philosophy of quality methods as they relate to SDLC. Forward thinking & committed to continuous improvement within both software products and process. Ability to be hands‑on and effectively delegate where appropriate with a self‑motivated, can‑do attitude that leads by example. Strong communicator verbally and in writing, with keen listening skills. Strong commercial awareness and a strong ability to operate in commercially sensitive and important situations.
