As a Software Development Team Leader, you will help to coordinate and drive team efforts to deliver software solutions.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven track record in leading teams to deliver high quality solutions.
  • Ability to develop low latency, highly available and scalable solutions.
  • Experience of distributed systems.
  • Experience of server-side development including services, systems, messaging and middleware.
  • Good database application programming.
  • Experience working on Linux and GNU utilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.
  • Proactive and willing to contribute ideas.
  • High standards of work with excellent attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting in driving the provision of a capable, reactive, motivated and delivery focused team.
  • Enforcing governance around quality, rules, standards and processes within the team.
  • Ensuring the solution meets the needs of the Business.
  • Aiming to limit repeated steps with the development process.
  • Identifying and migrating risk.
  • Analysing impact of change.
  • Ensuring the development process is conducted in a timely fashion.
  • Mentoring members of the team and ensuring distribution of knowledge.
  • Inputting into the developer’s appraisals and other performance feedback.
