Software Engineer Department: IT Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Home United Kingdom Description As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and support of our in-house applications and SaaS products across the Davies estate. Our projects are developed within a Scrum Agile Framework, so experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.


Responsibilities



  • Assist in defining and adhering to development patterns and standards

  • Develop and support applications using C#, .NET Core and React

  • Work in Test Driven Development and automated testing and deployments

  • Contribute to various development projects as needed across different business areas

  • Support business as usual activities or project deadlines, including out-of-hours work when required


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise



  • Proven experience in C#, .NET Core, test automation, and Azure

  • Experience in a front end JavaScript framework such as React

  • Background in TDD and automated testing

  • Experience with micro services, containerization and site reliability engineering

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
