Software Engineering Manager with key skills in developing multi-platform application using C# within an event sourced architecture is sought on a remote basis by a multi award winning technology solutions company based near North Birmingham. With a global expansion ongoing this Software Engineering Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering and QA function, driving best practices and high standards while collaborating with product and architectural teams to deliver AI-focused innovation across the platform.

Team mentorship is a core aspect of this role, with the Software Engineering Manager acting as the key thought leader in knowledge sharing, team collaboration and personal accountability for growth and career development. This Engineering Manager based in the Midlands should have most of the following key skills:

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering and QA function
• Drive best practices, high standards, and alignment with product and architectural teams
• Deliver AI-focused innovation across the platform
• Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration and personal growth within the team
• Support growth through performance management and career development planning

Qualifications

• A strong background in C# development
• Solid understanding of QA – Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow, etc.
• Proven people and technical leadership skills
• Solid architectural / event sourcing understanding – CQRS, microservices, Kafka, etc.
• Experience working in a product-led, agile development environment
• Strong resource planning experience
• Performance monitoring capabilities
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond to help the team achieve growth targets
• Experience with AI solutions would be a plus
