We aim to use technology to improve how consumers receive financial advice and manage their investments. Our platform is built from scratch to support modern technology, providing a mobile‑first investment app that lets advisers manage their clients' investments entirely from a smartphone. What you’ll do
Hands‑on leadership for a cross‑functional team, responsible for team delivery and line‑managing about five engineers (back‑end, web and mobile) – providing feedback, coaching and mentoring. Engage in the full software development lifecycle: gather requirements with stakeholders, build and test features as a team, manage deployment and support the service in production. Continuously look for ways to improve product, processes and practices – eliminating friction and waste. Implement automated testing, continuous integration and delivery as a core practice. Step outside your specialty when needed; our engineers collaborate across technologies to get things done.
What you’ll have
Previous experience leading an engineering team, including line‑management duties such as coaching and performance reviews. Excellent programming and problem‑solving skills. Understanding of design patterns and paradigms such as OOAD, DDD, MVC, microservices, containers/orchestration, or event‑driven architecture. Experience creating performant, scalable, secure, and well‑tested code. Strong ownership of tasks and problems, clearing roadblocks and pulling in others when required. Experience with investment or pension platforms is an advantage.
