**Software Frameworks and Methodologies Lead****Location:** ScottishPower HQ, Glasgow**Salary:** £57-72K (plus up to 15% bonus and single healthcare cover)**Permanent, Hybrid Working*****\* The role requires that the successful candidate can obtain UK Government Security Clearance \*******Help us create a better future, quicker***The Software Frameworks and Methodologies Lead will be part of the Digital Transformation team, supporting all areas of ScottishPower’s business. Their primary focus will be to drive the adoption of a global secure-by-design software development lifecycle (SDLC), promoting best practices in software engineering across the organisation.They will work closely with UK business units to consult and advise on initiatives to ensure all software development activities align with established engineering standards.Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with global teams to gain a deep understanding of the SDLC and its associated toolsets, contributing to their continuous improvement and evolution. ***What you’ll be doing***You’ll work across multiple business areas, consulting on the design of software systems and the integration of software development tools. Your focus will be on managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and championing the adoption of the global secure software development process.You’ll work closely with the global team to continuously enhance software implementation by introducing new tools and standards, while also refining and optimising existing ones. As the owner and subject matter expert for Secure Software Development Standards, Methods, and Tools, you’ll hold overall accountability for:* Collaborating with global teams to influence, guide, and understand Iberdrola-defined standards and tools for the benefit of ScottishPower.* Holding overall accountability for the governance, oversight, and adoption of these standards within ScottishPower.* Leading the education, training, and awareness initiatives related to these standards.* Implementing governance and control mechanisms to ensure compliance.* Supporting UK businesses in adopting the SDLC. **Other aspects of the role include:*** Providing guidance on the software architecture of applications.* Advising software development partners on the appropriate tools and standards.* Consulting on the adoption of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline tooling.* Liaising with the global business to ensure the suitability of CI/CD solutions for UK operations.* Verifying solutions to ensure they meet defined standards and requirements.* Preparing and delivering reports as needed. ***What we’re looking for*** * In-depth knowledge and experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC) practices.* Hands-on experience with full-stack design and development technologies (used to consult and advise various software development teams)* Proven expertise in architecting software solutions, including the selection and integration of appropriate components and frameworks.* Experience in developing secure-by-design applications, with a strong understanding of application security architecture.* Acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for software development practices, providing guidance to senior developers and ensuring adherence to best practices.* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate & influence effectively across multiple businesses, projects, and teams. ***What’s in it for you***As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
