Overview Worcestershire County Council – Worcester, United Kingdom Job Title: Solicitor - Adult Social Care and Education We are recruiting two Solicitors or Barristers to join an experienced and supportive legal team serving Worcestershire County. This is a great opportunity to develop legal expertise in adult social care and, optionally, education law (including SEN) with potential for litigation experience to be transferable. Responsibilities

Provide advice on all aspects of adult social care law for the Council. Represent the Council in the Court of Protection and the County Court as required. Advise on education law where relevant, including SEN matters (advantageous but not mandatory). Utilise advocacy skills to support lawful and effective decision-making on behalf of service users.

Requirements / Qualifications

Solicitors or Barristers with experience in local government. Newly qualified or soon-to-be-qualified candidates will also be considered. Experience in adult social care law is desirable; willingness to develop expertise in education law (including SEN) is advantageous. A flair for advocacy and the ability to work within a busy, team-based environment.
