Job Overview

Our Credit Hire and Repair team works with over 40 insurance companies and self‑insured corporates. We handle all aspects of defendant credit hire dispute resolution, offering end‑to‑end solutions and pre‑emptive advice. This role presents an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to develop their career while managing litigated vehicle hire and damage cases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, professional and high‑quality service to clients in the management of litigated vehicle hire and damage cases.
  • Manage a varied caseload of litigated work with appropriate supervision.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.
  • Comply with internal and external service level agreements.
  • Record timely and accurate management information.
  • Meet individual performance measures.
  • Support marketing and business development activities within the team (attending marketing events, client training, clinics, shadowing days).

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience handling litigated motor claims and managing own caseload; experience in credit hire is essential.
  • Prioritisation & organisation skills – ability to organise own time, recognise time pressures and ask for help when needed.
  • Good interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, clients and colleagues and work as a team player.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills – ability to critically review factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply them.
  • IT skills – IT literacy with good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Commercial awareness – ability to run a case within given fee structures.
  • Resilience – ability to stand ground in telephone negotiations and accept feedback.
  • Aptitude to learn – ability to acquire new skills and retain knowledge.
