Solicitor (Grade A/B)- Clinical Negligence - Manchester Focused on complex clinical negligence cases, this solicitor will work within a highly skilled team at Fletchers Group in Manchester. Responsibilities
Provide support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers Manage cases proactively and commercially, ensuring progress from initial engagement to final resolution Co‑ordinate the progression of cases with all internal and external parties Draft legal documents including Letters of Claim, Letters of Instruction, negotiating settlements and issuing and serving proceedings where required Analyse and discuss case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members Help identify cases suitable for settlement, Local Authority Claim (LOC) or other resolutions within the team Ensure accurate time recording and compliance with financial KPIs Oversee documentation and correspondence produced by the team Advise the team on technical matters arising from cases
Essential Skills and Experience
8+ years PQE or equivalent experience in clinical negligence Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills Excellent drafting and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, Proclaim and Excel Attention to detail and commercial awareness within a legal environment Ability to coach and mentor junior team members Flexibility and commitment to achieving results within deadlines Excellent client‑care abilities
