Location: Southport (Hybrid) – Flexible to work from home with in-office collaboration as needed.

Join our Leading Clinical Negligence team as a Senior Solicitor. We seek an experienced solicitor to handle complex cases with a proactive, commercially focused approach. You will work with a team that values excellence in clinical negligence and collaborative culture.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for providing support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
  • Proactive and commercial case management and progression
  • Support the Team Leader in ensuring delivery of the team’s financial KPIs
  • Accurate time recording

Responsibilities

  • Discuss and agree case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members
  • Identify cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
  • Coordinate information collection to enable case progression
  • Proactive management of a caseload with a commercial focus
  • Coordinate progression of cases with internal and external parties
  • Draft legal documentation including LOC and letters of instruction
  • Negotiate settlements and issue/service of proceedings when required
  • Oversee team correspondence and documentation
  • Advise the team on technical issues arising from practice

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Recent experience handling a case load
  • 8+ years PQE or equivalent in Clinical Negligence
  • Excellent organisational, time management and drafting skills
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Proclaim, Excel)
  • Attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members
  • Flexible and results-driven with deadlines
  • Excellent client care skills
