We are looking for an experienced and confident individual to support the work of the Council and the Licensing Board by providing legal advice in relation to their statutory functions.
You must be a fully qualified solicitor and hold a Diploma in Legal Practice or equivalent, as well as a current unrestricted Practising Certificate from the Law Society of Scotland. Practical experience of licensing is desirable but applicants with experience in civil litigation will be considered.
You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to adapt to change and work to deadlines. You should have the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team with minimum supervision. Experience of sheriff court practice is essential.
This post is politically restricted in compliance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
This post is permanent. Applicants are welcomed on a part-time basis.
