Red Recruitment is hiring a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive for our client, an award-winning multi-discipline law firm in their Private Client Department.

This full-time role is Devon based with an immediate start to join a business that has a fantastic reputation and a desire to continue growing.

Key Responsibilities of a Solicitor

  • Manage a varied caseload of private client matters to include the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, tax planning, estate administration and Court of Protection work
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients, ensuring a high level of client care and confidentiality at all times.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as Wills, Trusts, Deeds of Variation, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Conduct client meetings (both in-person and virtual) to take instructions, provide updates, and progress matters in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SRA regulations, GDPR, and firm policies.

Key Skills and Responsibilities of a Solicitor

  • Have a minimum of 3yrs PQE
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent client care skills
  • Be able to work harmoniously within the team
  • Be enthusiastic and willing to engage in the business development of the department
  • Be able to demonstrate consistent fee earning
  • Be STEP Qualified and have SFE membership - however, this is not essential, and training is generally available for the right candidate.
