Our General Insurance team at DWF provides expertise in Casualty, Disease, Criminal Defence, EL/PL & RTA and is currently seeking an Associate Solicitor to handle a caseload of criminal defence cases involving RTA prosecutions. We offer hybrid working arrangements from either of our Scotland offices, Glasgow or Edinburgh, and are flexible to discuss other options for candidates based in Scotland.

Responsibilities

  • Working to manage a caseload of Predominantly criminal defence cases, primarily RTA related.
  • To assess with civil personal injury defence cases where necessary.
  • Prioritising work effectively to maximise efficiency in working practices, adhering to court deadlines and directions, as well as the client\'s service level agreements.
  • Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs.
  • To provide support and act as the \'go to person\' for more junior members in the team.

Desirable Criteria

  • 1+ years PQE, preferable within criminal defence.
  • Some experience in Civil defence work desirable but not essential
