What The Role Involves

  • Caseload Management: Work collaboratively with a professional team on a mix of pre‑litigation and litigation cases.
  • Court Work: Gain hands‑on experience with cases in ASPIC and the Court of Session.
  • Team Support: Contribute to training and mentoring of trainees.
  • Investigations & Statements: Conduct liability investigations and gather witness statements.
  • Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts.
  • Legal Documentation: Draft a range of legal documents, including writs.
  • Court Appearances: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court.

Remuneration & Contract

Salary: Solicitor - £44,812+; Associate Solicitor - £49,994+ depending on experience.
Contract: Full‑time – Permanent.
Hours: 35 hours per week.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Must be able to commute to our Glasgow office.
  • A minimum of 1-year PQE is essential; trainees and NQ solicitors will not be considered.
  • Experience in litigation, preferably involving personal injury or similar case types.
  • Experience in disease cases is advantageous, though candidates with a background in personal injury are also welcomed.
