Overview
eTrading Solution Architect — 6 Month Contract + multiple extensions. London onsite 2 days a week. Rate DOE. Inside IR35/Umbrella. Partnering with a leading Investment Bank to design and implement a new Order Management System (OMS) and Single Dealer Platform (SDP) supporting pre-trade and pricing workflows for the Commodities team. Focus on scalable, high-performance, low-latency solutions within a .NET ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design
- Define and own end-to-end architecture for OMS and SDP in a .NET and Azure environment.
- Design pre-trade and pricing workflows, including market data consumption, pricing services, quoting, and deal capture.
- Develop API, data, and integration standards across trading front-office systems.
- Implementation Leadership
- Lead technical design and oversee development of OMS components for order capture, routing, and execution.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and performance across real-time trading and pricing services.
- Guide developers and ensure adherence to best practices and architectural principles.
- Integration & Interoperability
- Design connectivity with pricing engines, trading venues, and analytics platforms.
- Implement event-driven, service-oriented architectures for real-time data exchange.
- Governance & Collaboration
- Partner with business leads, traders, and quants to align technology solutions with trading strategy.
- Contribute to architectural roadmaps and modernisation initiatives within the .NET ecosystem.
Skills & Experience
- Technical Expertise
- Strong background in .NET Core / C#, microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and real-time messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Proven experience in architecting electronic trading, OMS, or pricing systems.
- Deep understanding of pre-trade analytics, pricing models, and quote lifecycle management.
- Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of eTrading environments, trading workflows, particularly pricing, quoting, and order execution.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and guide cross-functional teams.
