The Role We are recruiting an ambitious and technically accomplished Solutions Architect to join our Digital business unit as a Principal Consultant. You will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and cloud-native platforms across Energy (including Low Carbon and UK regulatory systems), Financial Services, Public Sector, and Healthcare domains. This is a strategic and hands-on role, central to enabling successful digital change initiatives for our clients. You’ll work with a team of experts to architect solutions that bridge business strategy with technical execution—while contributing to governance, delivery, and continuous improvement across a fast-evolving landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of platforms across domains, including Energy, Finance, Public Sector, Healthcare, or other domains.
- Define and communicate clear solution requirements to support technology-enabled change.
- Act as a functional and technical expert across project implementation and release cycles.
- Set up and manage technical governance frameworks and programme-level architecture.
- Participate in design reviews, identifying risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Architect cloud-native systems using Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
- Apply Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Design event-driven systems using Kafka and Pub/Sub.
- Lead API design, integration strategies, and legacy modernization to microservices.
- Contribute to Disaster Recovery planning and platform resilience.
- Implement Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and enterprise security architecture.
- Support data architecture using Databricks, Snowflake, ETL pipelines, and Big Data tools.
- Champion Data Governance practices including classification, cataloging, and lineage.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS, and other security standards.
- Embed DevSecOps principles into CI/CD pipelines and platform delivery.
- Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) and Solution Architecture Documents (SAD).
Qualifications
- Relevant Master’s Degree or equivalent
- TOGAF Certified or strong familiarity with TOGAF principles
- SAFe Certified Agile Product Owner/Product Manager (preferred)
- SCCM Certified (desirable)
- Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering architecture across multiple sectors
Collaboration and Skills
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders to align solution design with business strategy and technical architecture
- Develop working practices and processes across the Digital business unit
- Collaborate with mobile and web development teams for seamless integration
- Support business development initiatives, contributing to bids and proposals
- Architecture, Cloud, Data, Security, Integration, Agile, Collaboration, and Business Analysis skills as described
