Location: Central London (3 days remote, 2 days onsite)
Duration: 6 Months - Inside IR35
Solution Architect Role
Highly skilled Solution Architect with extensive experience in automation, application packaging, cloud platforms, designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines. This role involves collaborating with various departments, including IT, packaging teams, and engineering, to ensure the successful implementation of a self‑service packaging process.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the packaging process.
- Collaborate with IT, packaging teams, and engineering to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for smoke tests, functional tests, and pilot tests.
- Ensure the packaging process adheres to best practices and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the CI/CD pipeline and packaging process.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Communicate wider strategy to key stakeholders, engage with CIO forums to understand and document blockers to modernization of applications.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Github, Artifactory, Power Apps, Terraform, etc.
- Strong knowledge of application deployment processes for Windows OS and macOS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of packaging solutions such as Chocolatey, Homebrew, Juriba AppR, etc.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience in creating MSIX App Attach and MST files.
- Proficiency in device management platforms such as Intune and SCCM.
- Understanding of VDI platforms, deployment and configuration of applications for Persistent and non‑Persistent Multi‑Session instances.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
