Solutions Architect – Defence

Location: Solihull (work from home 3 days per week)

Base pay range:
• Solutions Architect – up to £80,000
• Senior Solutions Architect – up to £90,000

Role Overview

• Develop and deliver secure solution architectures for Defence-related projects.
• Ensure all designs adhere to MOD standards and Secure by Design principles.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to align business needs with technical delivery.
• Contribute to architectural governance, reviews, and technical roadmaps.
• Proven background as a Solutions Architect within Defence or other secure environments.
• Strong understanding of MOD frameworks and Secure by Design practices.
• Must hold, or be eligible for, SC Clearance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with IBM Maximo or similar FM systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable solutions for critical UK Defence programmes.
• Validate designs against MOD and Secure by Design standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Review and guide architectural decisions and roadmap development.

Qualifications

• Mid to Senior level experience as a Solutions Architect in a Defence or secure environment.
• Deep knowledge of MOD frameworks and Secure by Design principles.
• Eligible for, or currently holding, SC Clearance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills.
• Experience with IBM Maximo or similar FM systems is a plus.
