Responsibilities
- Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
- Scope each customer engagement with clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
- Own each technical engagement and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value (delivery of actual solutions to be done by AWS partners).
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community.
- Understand AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
- Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how of how applications and services are constructed on the AWS platform.
- Represent AWS well within a customer environment, drive discussions with senior personnel, and guide software developers and architects; think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
A day in the life
As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s cloud services within strategic accounts. You will own the technical engagement and success around implementation projects, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how to construct applications on the platform.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
