Overview

Solutions Manager - PPS Location - Hybrid (Birmingham). Reporting to: Solutions Director - PPS. The Solutions Manager - PPS will be responsible for delivering the PPS Solutions Growth Plan across existing Mitie client accounts and supporting tender activity for new and retained contracts nationally. You will play a pivotal role in utilising Lessons Learned & Best Practice to enhance our client solutions, embedding Best Practice across project delivery. This is a high profile role at the heart of Mitie's Projects Growth team. You will shape client solutions, influence strategy and work alongside senior leaders to drive innovation, sustainability and commercial success across Accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Mitie products, services and project delivery value propositions.
  • Act as a project delivery SME supporting the sales and bid teams.
  • Help shape win strategies for bids and complex sales opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, enhancements and engagement programmes with key clients and prospects.
  • Lead solution design and commercial content, creating holistic, differentiated offerings.
  • Work with the Projects Centre of Excellence to integrate emerging digital and AI solutions into PPS value propositions.
  • Collaborate with Project and Solutions Directors to resolve live delivery issues.
  • Promote a positive customer-oriented culture, especially at C-suite level.
  • Align Mitie products and services with Clients' objectives, sharing cross-sector insights and contribute to the PPS Community knowledge base.
  • Contribute to programme plans and business cases, supporting multi-year client investments.
  • Build trusted relationships with current and prospective internal and external stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience at Solutions Manager, Consultant or Account Manager in project delivery.
  • Solid understanding of project management and delivery processes and protocols.
  • Skilled at engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix environment and embedding strategic initiatives.
  • Experience managing high-level programme plans and investments.
  • Graduate-level technical knowledge of the built environment.
  • Ability to translate client feedback into actionable, value-driven solutions.
  • Track record of contributing to revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Ability to embed Mitie's sustainability initiatives and digital innovation tools into client solutions.
  • Drive internal knowledge sharing, feedback loops and embedding strategic initiatives into BAU.
  • Capable of passing Central Government Security Clearance (SC) vetting.

Desirable

  • Experience in a Centre of Excellence or innovation function.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and digital transformation in project delivery.
  • Background in developing value propositions and supporting senior-level solution workshops.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, APM, CIOB) are advantageous but not essential.
