Overview

Our client are an international branded company. They are now seeking a qualified accountant to take ownership of their Europe division, reporting to the Finance Director.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily finance operations across Spanish entities (accounting, tax, reporting)
• Produce monthly financial statements with analysis
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations to deadline
• Process monthly payroll including taxes and pensions with HR
• Submit VAT returns and manage local tax compliance
• Assist with annual budgets and reforecasting
• Track fixed assets for sites under development
• Support operations teams with financial guidance
• Coordinate year-end accounts preparation with external advisors
• Oversee banking administration and payment controls
• Manage audit process and deliverables
• Supervise external accounting and tax service provider

Qualifications & Requirements

• Qualified accountant
• Fluent Spanish
• Willing to take ownership of multiple Spanish entities
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
