Sports Tech Hardware Technician (Hybrid)

1 Days Old

Location: Based within a reasonable commute of Basingstoke, with regular global travel around the world to Tennis events. Approximately 50% Basingstoke Office and 50% on-site

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Expected Start Date: August 2025

Salary Band: £26,990 - £32,390 (depending on experience)

Overview:

This is a unique hybrid role, acting as a vital link between the Hardware Team and the Onsite Operations Team. With responsibilities spanning both hardware support and system operations, you’ll play a central role in driving cohesion between these two pillars of the department. When onsite at tournaments, you won’t just contribute to event delivery, you’ll take the lead in managing and deploying kit, refining build-out processes, and helping create a more streamlined, integrated operation.

Your time will be split between our Basingstoke HQ and international tennis events, with the balance shifting based on the demands of the tennis calendar. The schedule will naturally ebb and flow throughout the year, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to the tour's rhythm are essential.

You’ll join the Tennis Operations Team, working closely with Projects, Warehouse, and Logistics to plan, maintain, and deliver the resources needed to execute events to the highest standard, ensuring the right staff and equipment are always in the right place at the right time.

The Tennis Department manages over £2 million worth of equipment across 200+ flight cases, deployed globally. With more than 30 tons of hardware moving between continents, tennis is one of the most logistically complex departments in the business.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping equipment and processes fit for purpose year-round, contributing both to daily operations and long-term strategic improvements.

Why This Role:

The Hardware Support role will manage the various hardware and kit demands of the Tennis department. You will take a hands-on approach to deal with asset management and kit quirks, as well as building and maintaining robust processes.

You will split your time between the Basingstoke office and attending events throughout the year. Time onsite will be essential for gaining hands-on operational insight, with the goal of identifying and improving processes.

We will do our best to train and equip you to the best possible level to help with these, but they must be considered before submitting your application.
