We are passionate about high performance web services and distributed computing to support advertising and marketing. This role primarily involves using C++, with Python, Go, and Bash scripting as needed. You will join a team that builds, maintains, and operates a software-as-a-service advertising product within public cloud infrastructure. If you want to work on a team that owns the entire software development lifecycle and tackles complex problems, we would love to hear from you.As a Sr Software Developer, you will apply your web services development talent to implement new features and make technical improvements to C++-based services. You will work on an agile team, writing software for continuous delivery to customers and make architectural and design decisions that influence the product’s services.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new functionality, perform routine maintenance and production support.Architect portions of the solution using the latest SAS tools and technologies.Collaborate with product management and other team members on requirements and technical issues to produce high quality and maintainable tools and services.Participate in code reviews to ensure high quality software is produced by the team.Write and maintain automated tests to support continuous integration and deployment.Eventually participate in the on-call rotation for the team.Encourage participation in open source projects on behalf of SAS.Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support secure software development goals.Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability as core values that influence everything we do.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience in developing high performance web services.Minimum of 8 years of software development experience.Minimum of 3 years of C++ software development experience.Experience building high performance web applications.Experience with multi-threaded applications.Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.Additional Competencies, Knowledge And SkillsCollaborating - Working cooperatively with others to help a team or work group achieve its goals.Communication - Conveying information clearly and concisely; listening actively to others.Quality Orientation - Attending to all aspects of the job and ensuring accuracy.Experience with Go/Golang, Python, or Rust.Experience with Kubernetes or containers, such as Docker or Podman.Experience with remote access to Linux-based systems and containers.About SASSAS is an equal opportunity employer.
