Overview

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We are looking for technical builders who love the idea of working with early stage startups to help them grow. You’ll work directly with a variety of customers to help them make the best technical decisions, build enduring relationships, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor. You’ll also contribute to technical content and events, and advocate with product teams to ensure we build the right products for startups.

The Startup Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with early stage startup companies to ensure they can deploy scalable, secure architectures while minimizing time and cost. You’ll have time to sharpen your skills across more than 175 AWS services and help startups leverage the right ones.

Responsibilities

• Engage with early stage startup customers to help them design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures.
• Advise on best practices across services and guide pragmatic technical decisions to balance cost, performance, and security.
• Build enduring relationships with startups and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Contribute to technical content, present at events, and share knowledge with broader customer communities.
• Advocate on behalf of customers with product teams to influence features and roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 12+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
