Staff Design Engineer – Arm

Job Description

Arm’s Systems Development team designs subsystems for various application segments, using the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic SoC Design Engineer to join the team and help develop these systems. As a member of the design team, you will contribute to the specification, design, and verification of various compute subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Write micro-architecture specifications, develop RTL and run design checks.
  • Work with verification team to review test plans and debug design issues.
  • Guide and support other members of the team as needed to enable successful completion of project activities.
  • Contribute to developing and improving design methodologies used by the team.

Required Skills And Experience

  • RTL design for complex ASIC products & SoCs using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Arm-based designs and/or Arm System Architectures.
  • Functional Safety concepts and standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508). Experience automotive IP from definition to completion.
  • Static design checks, synthesis, timing analysis, power management techniques.
  • Power domain and Clock Domain Crossing implementation.
  • Fundamentals of computer architecture and systems; practical experience on processor-based system designs.
  • Technical team leadership, mentoring or coaching experience.
  • Shell programming/scripting (Tcl, Perl, Python, etc.).

Nice to Have

  • High-level programming (C/C++ and/or assembly).
  • Embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessor and embedded system hardware architectures.
  • DFMEA at module and system level.
