Kickstart Your Career with Greater Anglia. We are looking for a Digital Manager to lead the online experience for Stansted Express, the fastest, most convenient connection between London and Stansted Airport. This is a hybrid role with flexibility across Stratford, Colchester, and Cambridge.

We’re seeking a candidate to drive the online customer journey, optimise the eCommerce funnel, manage digital suppliers, collaborate with marketing, revenue, and customer experience teams, and contribute to growth initiatives.

The Role

In this role, you’ll take ownership of our website (desktop & mobile), ensuring a seamless, customer-focused experience that drives revenue and conversion. You’ll optimise the sales funnel, introduce new digital innovations, manage key digital supplier relationships, and work with cross-functional teams to advance Stansted Express online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the online channel strategy for Stansted Express to achieve metrics including revenue, conversion rate, average order value, and cost per acquisition.
  • Optimise website content, landing pages, and campaigns for SEO and conversion; manage supplier relationships with web developers and digital agencies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and CRM teams to drive traffic, enhance campaigns, and deliver targeted customer communications; monitor and act on customer feedback to improve the digital experience.
  • Develop, test, and implement new website functionalities with best-practice UX, CRO, and eCommerce standards; oversee day-to-day content management and social media activity.
  • Build, maintain, and report on online performance dashboards, translating data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Manage the website development budget within the broader marketing budget, representing Stansted Express in industry forums to share best practices and benchmark performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively; project management and stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging technical and non-technical teams.
  • Calm under pressure, able to think on their feet, and handle various situations.
  • Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude and ability to contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in transport, travel, or retail sectors (preferably mobile ticketing or smartcard tech), familiarity with agile methodologies and eCommerce tools such as attribution, personalization, and micro-targeting.
  • 2 years of experience in online marketing, eCommerce, and digital product management, with expertise in sales strategies, conversion optimization, A/B and multivariate testing, UX and design principles, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
