We’re partnering with a fast-growing, market-leading manufacturer to recruit a Strategic Buyer, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. What the Strategic Buyer will be doing:

• Take ownership of international sourcing strategy, working with suppliers across low-cost regions such as the Far East, Asia and Europe, driving quality, cost competitiveness, and security of supply
• Develop, challenge, and optimise supply chains to mitigate risk and build resilience, including dual sourcing initiatives
• Cultivate high-trust, high-value supplier relationships that support operational excellence and long-term growth
• Deliver significant commercial value by negotiating the best outcomes without compromising on quality or timelines
• Analyse market dynamics, supply trends, and competitor activity to inform agile, proactive procurement decisions
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with broader business objectives
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, supplier performance, and strategic thinking within the team
• Support the business in sourcing key building and fixings materials and components — ensuring quality, cost, and lead time targets are consistently met

Location & Flexibility:

You'll be based in modern offices in Stokenchurch ( Buckinghamshire) office for 3-4 days a week, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time. Occasional international travel to supplier sites will be part of your remit.
