Strategic Data Business Partner - 12 months Fixed term Contract

Triodos Bank is recruiting for a Strategic Data Business Partner to join at our Bristol head office on an initial 12-month fixed term contract basis. The role unlocks the business value of data across Triodos Bank UK and connects strategic objectives with data capability. It is a senior-facing role that acts as the interface between business and data to ensure UK data priorities are clearly defined, governed, and delivered through collaboration with internal teams and Triodos Group.

This role offers flexible hybrid working, typically requiring you to work from the Bristol office 2 days per week.

Triodos Bank is a B Corporation and is committed to ethical sustainability and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Vision: Partner with senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable data initiatives; align UK and Group data efforts to avoid duplication and maximise resources; maintain visibility of how data contributes to business outcomes.
  • Data Product Oversight: Prioritise a portfolio of UK data initiatives based on value, feasibility, and strategic fit; ensure high-quality business requirements are captured and governed with a focus on outcomes; coordinate delivery across UK and Group resources; maintain accountability without direct line management.
  • Change Management & Enablement: Help shift from reactive reporting to forward-looking, insight-led decision making; embed data literacy, governance, and ownership into change processes; act as a critical friend to both business and data teams.
  • Other: Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and internal governance to deliver good customer outcomes and avoid foreseeable harm, in line with Triodos’ customer-centric ethics.

What We Are Looking For

You will have a strong background in data-driven business partnering, product ownership, or transformation roles. The ideal candidate should understand how data underpins operational excellence, performance improvement, and strategic planning, with experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. You will be skilled at navigating complex stakeholder environments, aligning competing priorities, and leveraging modern data and analytics platforms, ideally within financial services. You should be able to frame data discussions in commercial and strategic terms, focus on outcomes and tangible business value, balance trade-offs, and drive alignment. You thrive when delivering innovative ways for data to create impact in a collaborative environment. A commitment to Triodos Bank’s core values of ethical sustainability and transparency is essential.
