Why this role matters ✨

This is a pivotal hire — our first dedicated Strategic Finance role. You’ll help shape the systems, analysis, and insights that fuel profitable, mission-driven growth across the UK and US.

This is your chance to:

  • Build and own the FP&A, OKR and analytics cadences that guide our business.
  • Partner directly with leadership, turning data into strategy.
  • Help us grow efficiently while driving our £2M conservation mission.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Own the FP&A & OKR Cadences
    • Build and maintain the financial planning and analysis rhythm across the business.
    • Develop robust financial models for P&L, cash flow, and unit economics (UK + US).
    • Partner with leadership to set, track and refine OKRs that align strategic goals with execution.
    • Deliver variance analysis and actionable insights on performance versus plan.
  2. Drive Strategic Analysis & Decision-Making
    • Act as the analytical powerhouse behind strategic projects: market expansion, pricing, customer acquisition economics, and product launches.
    • Use SQL and BigQuery to extract and connect insights between operational drivers and financial outcomes.
    • Build frameworks and dashboards that enable leadership to make faster, data-driven decisions.
    • Present clear, compelling recommendations across teams.
  3. Tell Stories Through Data
    • Analyse customer cohorts, product performance, marketing efficiency, and operational metrics.
    • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities before they surface.
    • Translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
    • Partner with Growth, Commercial and Operations teams to optimise performance.
  4. Enable Better Processes & Decision-Making with AI
    • Champion AI tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, and productivity.
    • Experiment with emerging AI technologies to automate and uncover new insights.
    • Refine processes that leverage data and technology for better, faster decisions.
    • Stay ahead of the curve on how AI transforms finance in scaling eCommerce.
  5. Build for Scale
    • Develop KPI frameworks and financial reporting infrastructure for long-term growth.
    • Implement best practices for forecasting, modelling and data integrity.
    • Act as the go-to finance partner for strategic questions across the organisation.
    • Help shape the future Finance and Analytics team as we grow.

Who we are looking for

    • Excited about AI and emerging tools that transform finance and operations.
    • Balances precision with pace — you move fast and get it right.
