We are now seeking an outstanding communications professional to help realise these ambitions. You will lead the development and delivery of high‑impact communications across a complex set of academic, civic, commercial and community stakeholders, ensuring that the University’s ambitions are clearly articulated, widely shared and powerfully brought to life.
Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering tailored communication strategies for complex projects, aligning with project timelines and deliverables
- Collaborating with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders
- Producing high‑quality content (copywriting, photography, video)
- Organising and implementing engagement activities such as briefings and events
- Defining success metrics, tracking engagement and reporting on outcomes
Qualifications
- Strong communications experience within a project/change environment
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Confidence working in dynamic and ambiguous environments
- Experience creating engaging multimedia content, with an understanding of different audiences
Experience within Higher Education or another large, complex organisation is beneficial, as is experience in public engagement or research communications.
Further Information
The role is available on a full‑time fixed term basis of a minimum 24 months. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days a week on campus (including Tuesdays).
