Job Description
Location: Hybrid / 3 days per week on site in Derby
Contract or staff roles available
Your future team:
You’ll work as part of an embedded team on-site with our client in Derby, where you’ll be responsible for producing design and manufacturing documentation for both mechanical equipment and structural supports.
Your Missions:
Undertake design calculations in accordance with pressure vessel codes (e.g. ASME) and structural codes (Eurocode 3);
️ Collaborate with CAD team and suppliers to produce engineering drawings; (NX 11 or Autocad)
Create & update equipment specifications
️ Present at technical reviews
Ensure work follows Quality Management System

My profile
Skills & Experience:
️Experienced with using and understanding the requirements of any of the following codes: ASME VIII, EN13445, Eurocode 3 and BS EN 1090;EN13001
General knowledge of FEA is preferable.(Abaqus, Ansys, or LS-Dyna)
️ Able to plan and manage own workload
An understanding of steelwork components e.g. materials, profiles, strength, joint designs etc. and how they should be used to maintain compliance to the design codes above
Be able to complete scheme calculation assessments through to final stress analysis reporting
Good working knowledge of tolerances
Experienced with the application of CE (and/or UKCA) marking equipment to ensure that proposed designs are fully compliant

- All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
