We are looking for a new team member as Studio Manager
- Working hours: 35 hours / Mon - Friday.
- Hybrid role: You will be based at either our Horsham, West Sussex hub or our London Hub, with a main focus on home working. There will be a requirement for you to travel to our hubs when needed.
We think this role's going to be popular and are expecting to attract high interest, so we strongly encourage early applications to avoid missing out - closing date is Wednesday 9th July 2025.
Here atthe RSPCA no two days are the same. Below is a short summary of what a typical day might look like, for a full insight please refer to the attached job description.
As the Studio Manager for the RSPCA's in-house creative team, your day is a dynamic blend of strategy and operations. You'll be the main point of contact for all creative requests, acting as the team's gatekeeper and champion by refining briefs and ensuring they align with business objectives.
Working closely with the Content Workflow Manager, you'll strategically allocate projects based on capacity, skills, and priorities, constantly reviewing workloads to maintain efficiency and creativity. You'll also play a crucial role in forecasting activity, managing SLAs, and improving briefing processes collaboratively across the organisation. This involves confidently communicating and negotiating with a wide array of internal clients from fundraisers to campaigners, as well as managing relationships with freelancers and agencies, ensuring all creative assets are delivered smoothly for the breadth of the RSPCA's work.
- Proven ability in allocating and scheduling work, and managing capacity and priorities for a creative team.
- An experienced account/project manager.
- Demonstrated skill in working with stakeholders to agree briefs, schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
- Proficiency in pushing back on requests when required (e.g., no capacity, not a priority project).
- Significant knowledge and understanding of the creative process across all channels, and the ability to recognise high standards and great creative work.
- Skilled at briefing, checking, and managing external agencies and freelancers.
- Familiarity with workflow programmes (e.g., Trello).
- A keen eye for design.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK - We are unable to sponsor visas at RSPCA
We want to ensure we do all we can to give you a positive candidate experience through our recruitment. Whilst we do try to give feedback where we can, sometimes due to receiving high levels of applications, this may not always be possible
We are building the future of a diverse Society, and our priority is to support animal welfare by finding people from all backgrounds who are committed to our mission . For this reason we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications - in particular from members of minority ethnic groups, and people with disabilities - as these candidates are currently under-represented at the RSPCA. Your transferable skills & lived experiences could make you a valuable addition to our RSPCA Family!
