CONTRACT INSTALLATION ENGINEERS / SENIOR INSTALLATION ENGINEERS: SUBSEA OIL & GAS: ABERDEEN BASED HYBRID 3 DAYS £600-650 PER DAY. FANTASTIC NEW ROLES WITHIN A GROWING GLOBAL SPECIALIST IN SUBSEA ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION. LONG TERM PROJECT POTENTIAL.

The Company

Our client provides Integrated subsea services, with a team expert in offshore operations who deliver reduced project risk, increased efficiency and improved safety performance. They are currently experiencing a period of growth and development, and as part of this we need a number of installation engineers to support significant subsea and offshore projects, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The Role

You will be responsible for the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, riser systems, flexible flowlines and / or umbilicals. You will prepare the scope and support the offshore crew during the operation and interface with the Client, suppliers, offshore crew and the design team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver an installation work package on a Tender, FEED or Project,

• Technical point of contact for specific installation subject matter,

• Interface with all stakeholders; external (clients, suppliers) and internal (other disciplines, installation, manufacturing, procurement),

• Prepare and review documents and studies related to tenders, FEEDs and Projects,

• Manage engineering activities related to the preparation and installation of products,

• Plan, develop and review specific task plans and associated calculation notes

• Support vessel mobilization and installation phases on vessel

• Ensure activities are conducted in compliance with the Project standards

• Validate concepts and manage changes

• Actively participate in the development of and mentor junior engineers,

• Offer innovative solutions that enable the reduction of costs.

Experience required

• Degree / Master of Engineering and relevant work experience in the energy sector,

• Minimum 2 years experience within Offshore/Subsea installation,

• Maintain expertise in one or more of the following areas;

- Hook-ups or Pull-in’s,

- Flexible Flowlines,

- Umbilicals / Flying Leads

• Mooring Installation, shore-pull and other relevant experience is desirable,

• Experience working in deep and ultradeep water construction,

• Experience working on Tenders and Projects

• Developing operational documentation; procedures, task plans and rigging design,

• High level of relevant operational offshore experience,

• Capacity to priorities, plan, coordinate and communicate to enable successful delivery,

• Ideally have experience co-ordinating or leading teams,

• Fluent in English.
