I am currently recruiting for a lovely position for someone who has experience as a Supplier Development Manager or Commercial Contracts Manager within a defence environment.

The opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen due to an increase in deliveries for a Supply Chain Manager/Supplier Development Manager to join ISP in the Sub-Assemblies team. If successful, you will bring your experience and knowledge to ensure effective supplier performance, capability, and risk management. The team works across all programmes in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature and new technologies.
What they are looking for from you:
- Ideally a degree-calibre supply chain professional with experience working internationally in high-technology companies.
- Experience in supply chain management or as a Supplier Development Manager in aerospace, defence, or manufacturing environments.
- A proven ability to improve supplier performance (delivery and quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies.
- Capability to carry out capacity audits to identify bottlenecks, yield, resources, and sub-tier activities, forming an industrial view of the supplier.
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers daily, reporting on performance, and managing supply chain risks to closure.
- Assessing supply chain and supplier capabilities to meet the company's delivery profile for both current and future states.
- Competence in creating and validating process flows and lead time analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within the supply chain.
- Identifying, escalating, and mitigating potential supply chain risks, with associated improvement and mitigation plans.
- Conducting analysis and delivering executive summaries.
- Potentially responsible for or assisting in department supply chain excellence improvements.
