About the role

• Drive significant cost, risk, performance, and relationship value generation from best‑in‑class supplier management.
• Manage and develop a select number of Tier 1, Tier 2 and/or material Tier 3 suppliers that support important business services.
• Develop and maintain supplier account plans, including revenue targets, continuous cost and service improvement plans, risks/issues, potential growth/change, contractual and regulatory requirements, contingency and exit plans.
• On‑going proactive review of existing contractual arrangements, working with category business executives and service owners.
• Lead supplier relationships, providing regular updates on Royal London’s strategic priorities and targets to build enduring partnerships.
• Provide an escalation route for supplier non‑compliance and invoke/manage appropriate contractual provisions.
• Be an active participant in Royal London’s SRM community.

About you

• Experience in a supplier management role, preferably within financial services (not essential).
• Good commercial and negotiation skills, from service optimisation through to leveraging third‑party relationships to maximise business benefit.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage, communicate and effectively influence a range of stakeholders.
• Proven experience in managing third‑party risk appetite reporting and due diligence.
• Experience of commercial contracts within a technology‑focused role would be beneficial.
