Working hours: 37.5 hours p/w (Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00)

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role to deliver class leading availability to the patient, by ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time, managing supplier quota levels, stockholding and accurate forecasting with suppliers.

What you 9ll be doing

  • Placing orders with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Proactively follow up on purchase orders with suppliers/manufacturers
  • Lead investigations of stock-related complaints and implement clear, measurable, deliverable action plans to prevent repeat issues and improve service to patients
  • Review stockholding in facilities through min/max stock levels and periodic reviews of non-moving or slow-moving stock
  • Implement and drive improvement plans to improve availability and service, streamline team routines and reduce stock holding
  • Work with wholesalers and manufacturers to understand availability issues, likely restock dates and duration of supply issues
  • Collaborate with clinical and customer service teams to assess and suggest alternatives to out-of-stock medicines

Who are we looking for

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Numerate and IT literate (experience with IT systems and quick to learn)
  • Ability to use MS Office suite including Excel at an intermediate level
  • Extensive experience in a commercial buying or supply chain role, either in retail or in the supplier base
  • Proven experience of working with complex data and systems to improve end-to-end supply chain processes across multiple systems
  • Proven experience of analysing data to generate reports and provide insight to drive informed decision making
  • Proven experience of planning and implementing supply optimisation projects
  • Experience working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlines
  • Experience in FMCG preferred
