Job Description

Sustainability Consultant – Manchester

The Role

  • Develop and deliver sustainability strategies for construction, infrastructure, and corporate projects
  • Lead environmental and wellbeing assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM, LEED) from design through to completion
  • Conduct carbon assessments (embodied and whole life) and advise on reduction strategies
  • Support clients with energy performance modelling, circular economy consultancy, and compliance reporting
  • Produce clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver integrated solutions

Candidate Profile

  • A relevant degree (Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • Experience in sustainability consultancy, ideally with BREEAM, WELL, or LEED accreditation
  • Knowledge of carbon assessment tools (e.g., OneClickLCA) and energy modelling software
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and design teams
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine passion for sustainability
