About Us:
FuturePlus Technologies empowers businesses of all sizes to understand, measure, evidence, improve and report on their sustainability impact and goals. Our mission is to equip businesses with the tools and support to integrate sustainability into their core strategies, driving positive impact and profitability.
Our in-house sustainability management platform, FuturePlus, helps companies understand where they are today, where they want to go, and how to get there. We provide a clear, measurable, data-driven roadmap and expert support, guiding businesses through practical, step-by-step improvements across five core themes: Climate, Economic, Diversity & Inclusion, Social, and Environment.
Consultancy plays a key part in the FuturePlus offering. Our consultancy team creates bespoke and innovative Sustainability and ESG strategies that build on an organisation's existing infrastructure and capabilities, complementing the capabilities of the FuturePlus platform and offering additional support where needed.
The Challenge:
FuturePlus Technologies is at a pivotal moment in its growth journey. As a core part of the team, you’ll be a driving force behind expanding our consultancy services.
The Role:
We’re seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join our busy team. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients across sectors, helping them build and deliver impactful sustainability strategies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and breadth - you’ll work across topics such as carbon, waste, supply chain, and ESG reporting, depending on client priorities. You’ll be involved in projects throughout their life cycle, support business development efforts, and translate complex sustainability concepts into clear and actionable plans.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are key, as you’ll frequently lead workshops, communicate with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the growth of client accounts. Your work will help organisations embed sustainability at the core of their operations and decision-making.
Key responsibilities and experience (must haves!):
- At least 3 years’ experience in the sustainability sector.
- Lead client engagements by delivering high-quality sustainability consultancy and playing an active role in shaping proposals, scoping new work, and leading commercial discussions that expand client relationships.
- Strong writing and communication skills, including report writing, strategy development and client communications.
- Support clients in building, refining, and implementing sustainability strategies and roadmaps.
- Deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and report to a wide range of stakeholders, from executives to technical teams.
- Confident in developing strategic business relationships and identifying opportunities for consultancy sales and value-add.
Desirable expertise (we would ideally like to see at least 3 of the following):
- Provide advisory services aligned to key sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks such as TCFD, GRI, CDP, ISSB, and UN SDGs.
- Experience conducting materiality or double materiality assessments.
- Ability to translate complex data into insights and develop strategic recommendations.
- Facilitation and delivery of sustainability workshops and training sessions.
- Experience addressing sustainability in supply chains, including risk assessment and supplier engagement.
- Delivery of waste and circularity strategies within client operations.
- Monitor regulatory developments to ensure client strategies remain compliant and forward-thinking.
- Working knowledge of carbon accounting standards and methodologies.
Here’s our promise to you:
- An exciting, varied and impactful role in an ambitious and rapidly growing company.
- A promise that as we grow, you’ll grow with us.
- Great teammates who live their values.
- The opportunity to work with a range of exciting and innovative brands.
- Hybrid and flexible working - both in London and remotely.
- The opportunity for professional growth and development.
- Central London office location.
- 25 days of holiday per year, plus bank holidays and the Christmas week.
- Monthly wellness allowance.
How to Apply:
If you are a confident and high-energy sustainability professional looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your CV and a short cover letter (max 200 words) outlining your relevant experience and explaining why you are interested in joining the FuturePlus Technologies consultancy team.
