FTC -Sustainable Procurement Manager at dentsu in London.


Purpose of the Role


The Sustainable Procurement Manager will lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives across dentsu’s procurement operations. By supporting supply chain transparency, understanding Scope 3 emissions and building internal capabilities, the role will help dentsu meet its ESG goals, enhance supplier performance and strengthen its reputation as a responsible business.


Key Responsibilities



  • Report to the Procurement Operations Director and work closely with procurement and sustainability teams to ensure ESG risks and requirements are understood with appropriate action taken.

  • Policy and process integration. Embed sustainability criteria into procurement documentation (e.g., RFPs, Supplier Code of Conduct) in coordination with sustainability and legal teams.

  • Supplier risk assessment. Support Supplier Risk Manager in maintaining due diligence platform and questions and reporting on suppliers.

  • Capability building. Deliver training and knowledge sharing sessions to upskill procurement teams and embed sustainability thinking into day-to-day operations.

  • Data and reporting. Track KPIs, support Scope 3 emissions reporting and contribute to external disclosures including client pitch support.

  • Category planning. Partner with Procurement to integrate sustainability into category planning and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).


Qualifications & Skills



  • Procurement experience with knowledge of end-to-end sourcing process, including negotiating terms and supplier relationship management.

  • Autonomous self-starter and proactive in identifying opportunities and driving improvements.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills – both verbal and written, and ability to influence stakeholders up to C-Level.

  • Capacity to multi-task and prioritise to meet targets.

  • Desirable but not essential: Training delivery experience, including delivering sessions to upskill internal teams.

  • Desirable but not essential: CIPS or MCIPS qualifications (or working towards), Coupa platform experience.

  • The team is based in our London office and operates under flexible working arrangements, with a minimum of one day in the office per week and additional as requested in advance.
