The Finance Department at the House of Lords is seeking a highly skilled individual to manage technical accounting system routines, investigate and correct financial system errors, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. The role will involve developing and implementing processes in response to changes in policy and House of Lords requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Management of technical accounting system routines, including chart of accounts structure and closure of systems accounting periods.
• Investigating and correcting any financial system errors or anomalies.
• Ensuring data accuracy and integrity with other integrated systems, such as EPoS/Sales system.
• Developing and implementing processes in response to changes in policy and House of Lords requirements.

Requirements:

• Excellent digital skills, with experience of managing and analyzing databases and reporting, including accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems and risks and propose solutions.
• Clear and accurate oral, written, and online communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical colleagues.
• A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and effectively to meet demanding deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a small team, upholding the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK.
