As a Systems Engineer Team Lead, you will take responsibility for a team of Systems Engineers working on exciting, cutting-edge technologies. The team will be responsible for the design, development, and support of our products.

The Systems Engineer Team Leader will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working.

The salary for this role is up to £80k, depending on experience.

What you'll do

• 25% Team Leadership and Management: Ensure team members have appropriate tools and equipment to work safely and efficiently. Allocate team members to projects based on business priorities while supporting their growth and development.
• 25% Business Development Support: Provide technical expertise and support to the Business Development team, including generating technical proposals and bids. Evaluate new technologies and methods. Support bidding activities through technical work package definition and resource estimation.
• 50% Project Delivery: Coordinate and lead the delivery of engineering work packages. Lead system integration, verification, and validation activities. Manage issue resolution. Oversee requirements capture, analysis, traceability, configuration, and V&V. Conduct functional and non-functional system analyses.

The skills you need

• Experience in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of Verification and Validation
• Understanding of requirements capture and experience with DOORS
• Leadership experience in managing teams
