Astellas is seeking a Workforce Strategy Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in the United Kingdom. This role will support key talent, learning, and performance initiatives across the enterprise. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth execution of programs such as talent reviews, communication campaigns, performance and goal management, and workforce planning. Key details: This is a 12-month contract based in the United Kingdom with hybrid working and some office presence. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office in Addlestone or Chertsey.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain talent, learning, and performance systems in collaboration with HR Systems and IT teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy through validation, audits, and reporting across key HR processes.
  • Create and maintain user-friendly guides, training materials, and communications for performance and talent initiatives.
  • Deliver training sessions and provide support during key milestones such as performance cycles and talent reviews.
  • Coordinate timelines and milestones for annual and cyclical talent programs.
  • Assist in collecting and consolidating feedback and data to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Initial experience supporting HR programs, systems, or technology-driven processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data manipulation.
  • Experience with HR technologies such as SuccessFactors, Workday, or Cornerstone.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear user guides and training content.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide talent or performance cycles.
  • Background in developing and delivering virtual or in-person training sessions.

Education

University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
