Tax Manager
New Today
We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join Bolt’s Global Tax Field Team, which provides strategic and hands‑on tax support across 50+ countries. You’ll partner with our Finance, Commerce, Legal and Business teams to analyse new launches, navigate complex tax landscapes and enable Bolt’s growth while managing risk and ensuring compliant operations in a fast‑moving environment.
Location: Tallinn, Madrid or London (preference will be given to candidates based in Tallinn or willing to relocate there. Relocation support available for Tallinn).
About Us
With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest‑growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!
About the Role
As part of the Global Tax Field Team, you’ll provide day‑to‑day tax support to Bolt’s business verticals as they grow and evolve across multiple markets. The role combines strategic thinking and practical execution: you’ll structure tax setups for new launches, assess the impact of new products and services, resolve challenges and build scalable tech‑enabled ways of working for the future. You’ll manage a portfolio of countries and work across all tax areas — direct, indirect and international tax. You’ll report to the West Regional Tax Lead.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Partner with Finance, Commerce and Legal teams to enable business growth by providing practical tax input on launches of products, services and verticals across multiple countries, ensuring compliant and optimised setups for each market.
- Provide timely and hands‑on tax support on day‑to‑day matters, covering all aspects of tax and identifying risks and opportunities that impact Bolt’s P&L.
- Oversee tax governance and risk management across your country portfolio — building and maintaining tax‑risk frameworks, reviewing CIT returns, leading tax audits, managing uncertain‑tax‑position assessments and tracking legislative changes that impact Bolt’s global operations.
- Drive standardisation, automation and process improvements to boost efficiency, scalability, consistency and quality of tax analyses, documentation and reporting.
About you
- You have 6+ years of experience in tax within a multinational environment (industry and/or consulting) covering several countries. Experience in digital business is a plus.
- You bring strong technical knowledge in corporate income tax, indirect tax, international tax and transfer pricing.
- You translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable advice for business stakeholders.
- You have strong project management skills, balancing multiple complex projects in parallel with attention to quality.
- You are intellectually curious, tech savvy and solution‑oriented, eager to learn, improve and challenge ideas constructively.
- You build trusted cross‑functional relationships and collaborate easily in a multicultural, global and entrepreneurial environment.
Benefits
- Play a direct role in shaping the future of mobility.
- Impact millions of customers and partners in 500+ cities across 45 countries.
- Work in fast‑moving autonomous teams with some of the smartest people in the world.
- Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
- Get a rewarding salary and stock option package that lets you focus on doing your best work.
- Enjoy the flexibility of working in a hybrid mode.
- Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
