Tax Manager

Are you a skilled tax professional looking to step into a management role with responsibility and variety? Our client, a well-established and respected accountancy practice, is seeking a talented Tax Manager to join their Bradford office.

The Firm

This is a progressive firm of chartered accountants with a strong local presence and a reputation for delivering high-quality accountancy, audit, tax, and advisory services. They work with a wide variety of clients, from individuals and owner-managed businesses to more complex corporate structures. The Role

As Tax Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance is completed to a high standard while leading on advisory work. This is a varied, client-facing role with opportunities to contribute to the development of the tax team and the growth of the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Reviewing tax compliance work prepared by junior staff.
• Delivering tax planning and advisory projects such as restructures, remuneration planning, capital gains, and inheritance tax.
• Acting as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships.
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior team members.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

• Be CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Have strong knowledge of both personal and corporate tax.
• Possess experience managing client portfolios within an accountancy practice.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Be proactive, commercially aware, and confident in providing advice.
• Enjoy supporting and developing colleagues as part of a team.
