Team Leader Business Support

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support a team of business support officers within the Digital and Customer Experience department.
You will lead a business support team that delivers a wide range of administrative support to Plymouth City Council's Community Connection and Place team. This support covers areas such as homelessness, temporary accommodation, waste management, streets, and bin collections.
The successful candidate will support and lead their team to deliver quality administrative support, ensuring effective communication and engagement in an ever-changing and sometimes pressured environment, while supporting wellbeing and fostering a positive culture and team collaboration. The ability to build effective working relationships within a highly skilled team and the service area you support is essential, along with maintaining professionalism and managing priorities amidst service demands and constraints.
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate the ability to work using their own initiative and make effective decisions, while leading a team to support high performance in a results-driven environment with evolving demands and priorities. You will be at the forefront of identifying efficiencies through innovative working methods and continuous improvement, working with stakeholders to ensure high-quality service for internal staff and customers.

The role requires the post holder to work primarily from office locations around the City, mainly at Prince Rock Depot and Ballard House, with some flexibility to work from home during the week.
