Overview

Team Leader Targeted Adolescent Support (IAS) at Lewisham Council. An opportunity to lead a specialist team of Family Practitioners providing intensive support to children and families at risk of entering the care system. This role focuses on early and effective interventions using evidenced-based practice to support positive outcomes for adolescents on the edge of care and those affected by extra-familial harm.

What’s the role?

The Team Leader will oversee day-to-day operations of the Integrated Adolescent Service team, ensuring child-centred, high-quality, evidence-informed interventions are delivered in a timely and coordinated manner, in line with safeguarding legislation and best practice. Collaborate with Social Workers and Team Managers to create tailored support plans that reduce risk and build resilience.

The service aims to prevent entry into care, reduce re-offending, and safeguard children from intra- and extra-familial harm. The role supports innovative practice and government-funded initiatives such as Turnaround, Engage, Your Choice, the National Referral Mechanism pilot, and an in-service Health & Wellbeing Hub.

Salary: £52,269 to £54,360 per annum (PO4). Note: appointments offered at the minimum SCP unless matching current salary with evidential proof.
