Technical Accounting Senior Manager

FT Recruitment is partnering with a forward‑thinking accountancy firm seeking a key hire for their Technical Accounting team. The position will be at the Manager or Senior Manager level (remote) reporting to the Head of Technical Accounting and the Managing Partner for the Aberdeen office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver high-quality technical accounting services to clients, including complex accounting issues such as business combinations, group reporting, standard changes, IFRS/UK GAAP conversions.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for accounting standards, working with internal teams and clients to ensure appropriate accounting policy and compliant disclosures.
• Provide technical guidance in audit or technical accounting practice, facilitating promotion paths upon KPIs.

Qualifications:

• Recognised accountancy qualification.
• Strong technical accounting experience, including business combinations, group consolidations, IFRS/UK GAAP conversions, and significant accounting standard implementations.
• Experience in practice (audit or technical accounting) or industry with desire to return to practice setting.
