Job Title: Technical Farm Advisor - Farming - Field Based
Role Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: East Sheffield / Lincoln (Field Based)

On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are recruiting a Technical Farm Advisor on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a well-established company in the agricultural industry, dedicated to sustainable farming and promoting high animal welfare standards. This role will be based on the road, providing day-to-day service, practical and technical advice to farms within a beef supply chain network. This role is key to driving performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction across Rearing and Cattle Finishing units.

This role is a field-based role, you will be on the road with extensive travelling involved.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Farm Support & Performance
    • Visit farms regularly to ensure best practice and company standards.
    • Boost animal health, welfare, nutrition, and growth performance.
    • Manage calf selection, stock checks, and accurate reporting via farm software.
  • Supply Chain Development
    • Build strong relationships with farms in your region.
    • Onboard new units to expand supply and monitor ongoing farm performance.
  • Data & Reporting
    • Analyse farm and batch data to spot trends and improvements.
    • Share weekly performance updates with the Technical Team.
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Capture on-farm content (photos, videos, testimonials) for marketing.
    • Support campaigns and customer engagement alongside internal teams.
  • Collaboration & Growth
    • Work cross-functionally to keep operations running smoothly.
    • Continuously develop your knowledge and skills through training and fieldwork.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of livestock farming, particularly calf rearing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • Comfortable with technology (CRM systems, data analysis tools).
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
