Location: Crewe, UKContract Type: Temporary (until 26/06/2029)
Pay Rate: Competitive outside IR35
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site)

About the Role:
In this exciting position, you will craft clear, engaging, and precise technical documentation that supports both customers and technicians around the globe. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the lifecycle of our client's remarkable vehicles, from developing Owner Handbooks to maintaining dealer-facing Parts Catalogues.
Key Responsibilities:
Owner Publications
- Develop and maintain Owner Handbooks aligned with new product launches and model year updates.
- Interpret Product Description Books (PDBs), Technical Product Descriptions (TPDs), and Engineering Change documentation.
- Ensure content is user-friendly, brand-aligned, and technically accurate.
Parts Catalogue
- Create and maintain Technical Parts Catalogue information using Engineering BOM data.
- Support dealer technicians in identifying and sourcing correct components.
- Drive catalogue logic and PR number intelligence to meet VW Group KPIs.
Illustrations & Graphics
- Generate and update high-quality technical illustrations for both Owner and Service publications.
- Extract and adapt graphics from CATIA and maintain a comprehensive illustration database.
Quality & Communication
- Ensure documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Planning, Legal, and Marketing.
- Support internal and external communications to promote Aftersales initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to write clear, concise technical documentation for diverse audiences.
- Proficient in digital platforms and data management systems.
- Experience in external publication and catalogue systems preferred.
Knowledge Requirements
- Understanding of Bentley product and retailer processes.
- Familiarity with automotive engineering and Aftersales practises.
- Knowledge of VW Group systems and legislative requirements.
- Proficient in handbook, catalogue, and illustration systems.
Qualifications
- Strong content writing skills
- Qualification in English
- Good knowledge of systems with minimal training provided
- Ability to arrange moving images/text for documentation
- Essential understanding of automotive parts
