Our client is developing a digital Knowledge Repository - they require a specialist with extensive GitHub experience to manage and enhance the interim repository while the enduring repository is being developed.
The Repository Lead will be responsible for the technical administration, content management, and user support to ensure documents and artifacts are accurate, accessible, and aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, administration, and delivery of the Interim Repository until the Enduring Repository is deployed.
- Build and maintain data models for document storage and linking, including APIs connected to the repository.
- Develop functionality to host Flexibility Market Rules documents and governance content.
- Work with Flexibility Market Designers to upload 13 Day 1 Rules and 5 Governance documents in Docs-as-Code (Markdown/AsciiDoc) format for initial deployment and ongoing updates.
- Improve front-end design and user experience for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform technical and document administration tasks, including version control, access management, and compliance with change control processes.
- Provide training and support for internal users on uploading and maintaining documents.
- Support external users in accessing and navigating repository content.
- Facilitate the transfer of documents to the Enduring Repository, including sharing learnings and best practices to inform its design.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Extensive GitHub expertise, including repository management, branching strategies, and version control workflows.
- Experience with Docs-as-Code frameworks, including Markdown and AsciiDoc.
- Working knowledge of GitBooks or similar tools.
- Understanding of Ontology and data modeling concepts.
- Experience in energy or flexibility markets is desirable.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to bridge business and IT requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external users.
